Life sketch of Mohammad Sujauddin Group Chairman Mohammad Sujauddin, a philanthropist born and brought up in a respectable affluent business family in Dhaka city, Bangladesh . His father late Salahuddin Ahmed was an eminent businessman as well as a social reformer. His father worked for the betterment of the poor and supported open handedly to the neighbors and needy families of the society. After obtaining graduation from Bangladesh University , Mr. Sujauddin acquired his higher education degree on Business Administration and Banking from Thundurd Bird School of Business and Administration in the state of Arizona , U.S.A. Having received training on business and banking he started business of tobacco products. It should be mentioned that he is the son-in-law of late Sk. Akijuddin CMD of Akij group the biggest industrial conglomerate of Bangladesh . Initially, Mr. Sujauddin started business in 1999 as a exporter of all cigarettes and Bidi products of Akij Group to export to Middle East countries, GCC countries, Yemen , East African countries, Singapore , Malaysia , Maldives , Malta etc. By dint of his merit he has successfully promoted marketing and distribution of cigarettes and Bidi in the above countries. Out of the above, Dubai , Saudi Arabia and Yemen are the main importers of above products. By exporting above products he is contributing to the national economy. In recognition to his outstanding business performance and contribution to the national economy his firm Alif International been awarded for National Export Trophy (Gold) in the years. . . . ., …., …..and National Export Trophy (Silver) in the year. . . . by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Government of Bangladesh . Now, he is also exporting soft drinks-Mojo, Lemu, Frutika, Speed etc of the same Group.
This state of honour has encouraged him to set up few industrial enterprises such as Alif Corporation Ltd. and Alif Properties Limited. He is in the process of establishing Agro Food Industries, Spinning Mills, Auto Brick industry, Pulp and Paper Mill, Flouer Mill etc. His firm Alif International is the member of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bangladesh Jute Goods Association. Mohammad Sujauddin is a good social reformer and founder of the following schools and madrasas :

Life Sketch of Saida Akhter, Group Director
Mrs. Saida Akhter, Director of Alif Properties Ltd. and Alif Corporation Ltd. born in early 1970's and brought up in the same City, Dhaka . She did her graduation under Dhaka University . She is wife of Mohammad Sujauddin Chairman and Managing Director of Alif International, 402 New Eskaton Road , Dhaka-1000. Her husband is an eminent businessman of international repute who was awarded with National Export Trophy (Gold) and (Silver) for the financial year 2001-2002 for contributing valuable foreign exchange to our national economy. She is also a daughter of eminent industrialist of Bangladesh late Sheikh Akijuddin, owner of Akij Group- the biggest business conglomerate, which is running at least 15 nos. large volume profitable business ventures in Bangladesh since 1945. |
